LERT FLOOD CLEANUP: Methods, Hazards, and Aftercare-center


Description

This course equips LERT volunteers with the knowledge and practical skills needed to safely and effectively perform flood cleanup operations.  Participants will learn hazard awareness, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), cleanup workflows, and how to serve others with professionalism, compassion, and Christ-centered care.


Course OBJECTIVES

-Identify common hazards in flood-affected environments

- Demonstrate proper use of PPE

- Follow the A-Z flood cleanup workflow

- Recognize contamination and health risks

- Understand LERT scope and limitations

- Apply safe work practices and stop-work authority

- Serve with compassion and appropriate spiritual care
